NEW BEARDIE , NEED HELP AND Q'S ANSWERED

Postby mmui4670 » Sat Jul 10, 2010 9:34 pm

iv had my beardie in his viv for 2 days now
he hasn't eaten since i just got him home and is being a little bit lazy (in the cool side of his viv obviously not basking ) in the day aswell as sleeping for ages at night !
is this behaviour normal and will he get a more natural routine soon

secondly i have a few quickies about the viv

my uv bulb is across the top of the viv a couple of inches under the lid and the heat lamp is sat on a wire/ceramic thing on top of the meshed viv lid with a basking spot directly underneath (about 10 inches from the bulb )

are all these placements ok ??? and should i get something so that he can get closer to the uv if need be ???
plus hes looking a bit edgy when going to sleep should i buy him a hide/den thing

cheers

hiya how old is ur beardy, yes they are all ok were you have put them, beardies on there own will not tend to move much and as they get older will move less,so just give a few days to settle in and get used to its surroundings.
