Are the Beardies just being picky?

Housing and/or feeding are two of the most important aspects of keeping bearded dragons. Hopefully you'll find the answers you need in here - if not, ask.

Are the Beardies just being picky?

Postby leroy1980 » Wed Feb 24, 2010 7:27 pm

Hi all,
Ive had my beardies now for about three months. They have been fed up to about a week ago fresh salads and veg everyday and crickets in the morning and evening, as many as they can eat in about five minutes. I recently gave them some nutri-grubs which are apparently the same as phoenix worms and a few butterworms which they seemed to love, but since then they haven't been eating as much as usual. They still eat, but only about ten crickets each a day and I know they are still eating their veggies. They are still active and run around the vivarium and still like to come out and have a wonder. Do you think that the worms are filling them up more than the crickets do and they just aren't as hungry? Temps in basking spot is 105 and the cool end is around 83. They are both around7 months old and about 8-9 inches without the tail. Any ideas?
Cheers, Leroy.
